Class drafts are organised to effect as even a distribution of pupils abilities and needs as possible.

Efforts are also made to balance the numbers of boys and girls in the respective Year Level drafts.

The drafts are now named by letters of the alphabet (e.g. class 5A, 5B, 5C) rather than the class teachers surname initial because of a new administrative computer program.

These initials in no way indicate ability levels.
